We recently had an issue with an agent and the balance due
date. It is extremely important that you
understand the consequences of missing a balance due date. If a client puts a deposit down on a trip
and they do not cancel before the balance due date, they are charged for the
trip in full. There are misconceptions
to some that they just lose the deposit.
The fact is that they have now guaranteed the trip. As an agent it is important that you inform
your client at time of deposit and follow this up prior to the due date. If you cancel a trip, ensure you receive a
confirmation email from the client requesting cancellation and a email from the
supplier confirming the cancellation.
